60x48 Interpretation of the work dated 1888 by V.Van Gogh made with the Opus Nova technique in stone and glass. Private collection. 2015
Opus Nova conceived by Enrico Fraschetti is the technique used for the realization of all his works.
This technique is the modern version of the ancient "Opus Sectile", well documented in the "History of Art" which is carried out until about the end of 300 AD.
The "pictorial" realization is obtained with a careful selection of the stone material (granite, marble, travertine, onyx, quartzite, etc.) which, when properly used,
it helps to create the contrasts of color, shades and backgrounds, which give depth, lightness, brightness and movement to the work.
