100x100 "Painting-Sculpture" in bas-relief on a square wooden panel 12 cm high with 4 concave parts in the center, hand built by the author. Materials used: oil and acrylic paints, epoxy resin, polyurethane foam. 2018.
Inspired by the rhythm of an old Pink Floyd song, titled "Money". My work doesn't talk about money, but that rhythmic cadence made me think of forms, of people on the move, indoctrinated, no longer looking at what is happening around them, at the beauty of nature, no longer living their life but that of others, almost drugged as they are by the use of cell phones, by the urge to post what they are doing before they have even done it. The hand at the center of my work offers a cell phone and launches a message: "Don't look for anything around you anymore, you don't need it anymore, everything you look for is in here". How sad.
