“Arte in Provenza” exhibition in Marseille from 2 to 6 June 2022
Provence, the fertile cradle of the Mediterranean where creativity flows to pour out all over Europe. Marseille, the oldest city in France, lively port where cultures mix and influence.
We narrow the field again and go up the streets that lead from the port to the heart of the city.
Close to Palais Longchamp and la Canebière, one of the main arteries wanted by the Sun King and also called the Champs Élysées in Marseille, we find a space that is teeming with art.
We depart from the street animated by cafes, restaurants, cinemas, hotels, monuments, and buildings that still recall the charm of the artists who frequented it during the Belle Epoque to make a time jump and thus slip to the present.
Because this is also the soul of Provençal Naples. Marseille is a city that has seen the plague and survived. Like many other cities, it has suffered the effects of the pandemic, but it has not stopped creating space for art. And it is, moreover, twinned with Odessa. A symbol of rebirth and presence: art is there and feels. Art is always in the right place at the right time.
