47x12x43 Triangular rotating prism. Steel and painted porcelain plates 11x15
Table/Exhibitor in the shape of a triangular prism of side 47 cm, composed of three superimposed sections, each 12 cm high, free to rotate around a central axis with a foot consisting of a circular steel plate. The overall height is 43 cm. On each side of the prism there is a panel composed of nine porcelain plates 11x15 cm painted with a classical third-fire technique with three interpretations of the theme "Light".
Like a prism capable of separating the components of light, the dynamic structure of this work gives life to three different interpretations of Michelangelo's masterpiece "The Creation of the Stars and Plants" (fresco in the Sistine Chapel, years 1511-1512) and allows new allegorical combinations and color games.
panel: "God made the two great lights, the greater light to regulate the day and the lesser light to regulate the night, and the stars. God placed them in the firmament of heaven to illuminate the earth and to regulate day and night and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good" (Genesis 1.16-18).
Second panel: "...and there was light!" (Genesis 1.3). The light gave life to the Earth: rocks were covered with vegetation and living things appeared.
Third panel: On Earth only Man felt a strong need for a Light to illuminate his steps and make him participate in the divine mystery.
